That's a mindset we preach in our football program, and now we're asking our football families to live it.

We still have volunteer openings for the Candy Game at the fair from tomorrow through Sunday. This fundraiser directly supports our football program, and we can't make it successful without people willing to step up.

For our players, this is a great opportunity to earn community service hours while gaining real-world experience in customer service, communication, responsibility, and representing our program with pride. For parents, alumni, and community members, even one shift goes a long way in supporting our athletes.

Our young men put in some serious work helping the Algonac Lions Club set up for this weekend’s festivities. I am extremely proud of their commitment to their community. These are the “beyond the game” moments that often go unnoticed. Great job gentlemen.

I also just noticed our seniors were at another location and missed the picture. Shout out to Bryce, Bolton, Cash, and Jaxan as well.

Muskrats, we just had 2 spots open up for the Muskrat Scramble this Saturday. It will be an amazing opportunity to catch up with old friends while supporting our program. If you have any interest, please reach out directly to Coach Matzka. It will be an amazing day.

The school year is officially behind us and that means summer and football! We kicked off our season with a great 2 day skills camp Monday and Tuesday. We had over 60 athletes come out and work extremely hard in preparation for a very exciting upcoming season. We will continue working on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the weight room from 6:30-8:00 pm. I encourage all athletes to be there and we invite anyone else who would like to come and take a look. Great things are happening. Stay tuned for our next update. Go Muskrats.

🏈⛳️ The Algonac Football Program has been built by this community for over a century. From former players, parents, local businesses, fans, and future Muskrats—this program has always been bigger than Friday nights. It’s about tradition, hard work, and creating something the citizens of Algonac and future generations of Muskrats can be proud of.

That’s why we’re asking our alumni and community to come together for the Chuck Busuttil Muskrat Scramble Golf Outing on June 20th at Black River Country Club.

To offset the cost of running our program, we are proud to bring back the Algonac Football Muskrat Scramble. Whether you played, cheered from the stands, have a current athlete in the program, or simply want to support Algonac Football, we are excited for you to come golf, share memories, and raise money for our tradition rich program. We would love to have you be part of what we’re building.

Happy holiday weekend Muskrats. 2 friends of our program, The Water Street Winery and the Algonac Middle School PTO are putting on their 2nd annual Bingo Night Fundraiser. All of these people were incredibly helpful to us at our wine night fundraiser in the fall and the Algonac Football Program would love to return the favor. All of the details are in the flier below.
