🚨 IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION REMINDER FOR FAMILIES! 🚨

School starts in one week, and we want to make sure we have every student who needs transportation accounted for!

If your child will need bus transportation to or from school, please complete the transportation registration form ASAP. 🚌

Families MUST register for transportation each school year, even if your child has ridden the bus in previous years.

Please take a moment to complete the form today so we can make sure transportation is ready for your child on day one!

💻✨ A big thank you to our technology department! ✨💻

Our technology team is small but MIGHTY! Behind the scenes they have been working tirelessly to ensure everything is ready for another school year.

This summer every classroom is being equipped with a brand new SMART Board, providing our teachers with exciting new tools to enhance instruction, increase student engagement, and create even more interactive learning experiences.

But their work doesn't stop there. Every student Chromebook is cleaned, updated, and prepared for the year ahead. At the same time, they're working behind the scenes to make sure all of the systems that support our schools—from student registration to classroom technology and everything in between—are running smoothly before staff and students return.

📢 Annual PowerSchool Registration is Now Open!

It's time to complete your child's annual PowerSchool registration for the upcoming school year!

All families are required to complete this process for each student. Registration is completed entirely online and gives you the opportunity to:

✅ Update your family's contact information
✅ Review and update emergency contacts
✅ Complete and sign all required school forms

Taking a few minutes to complete your registration now helps ensure we have accurate information and that your child is ready for a smooth start to the school year.

While many of us are enjoying summer break, our incredible custodial team and summer cleaning crew have been hard at work behind the scenes preparing Algoma Elementary for another amazing school year.

Did you know that each summer every single classroom is emptied and cleaned from top to bottom?—Floors, furniture, windows, shelves, and every little corner in between. It's a tremendous amount of work, and they do it with care and pride so our students and staff can walk into a building that feels fresh, clean, and welcoming.

This week's heat makes their job even more challenging. And if you've ever been inside the elementary school during the summer...you know. 🥵

Their hard work is the reason our school has that special shine everyone notices at the beginning of each school year. Please join us in giving our custodial team and summer cleaning crew a well-deserved THANK YOU! 👏💛🖤

🎭 What an incredible performance!

In just three short weeks, our talented summer school students learned songs, memorized lines, practiced choreography, and brought Bingo the Musical to life on stage. We couldn't be more proud of their hard work, teamwork, and confidence!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who joined us to cheer on our performers. Your support made the experience even more special for our students.

Walls are meant to tell a story… and thanks to Mrs. Krueger’s summer school students, ours just got a whole lot more colorful. 🎨✨

From concept to completion, these student-designed murals showcase creativity, teamwork, and talent. Check out the video to see their incredible work in action. We’re so excited for everyone to enjoy them this school year! 🖤💛
