Recap of the game from Friday night by Lee Lawrenz:
Two senior quarterbacks had outstanding games as Algoma topped Gibraltar, 50-42, at Fish Creek, in a Marinette-Oconto[Northern Lakes]Packerland Conference Eastern Division 8-player football game, Friday night.
The Wolves (1-0 conference, 3-1 overall) controlled most of the game, leading 36-12 at halftime and 50-18 with seven minutes remaining.
However, the Vikings (0-1 and 1-3) scored the game's final 24 points in a wild and scary fourth quarter. Algoma recovered the onsides kick-off in the final minute to preserve the victory.
Accordiing to the broadcast by WDOR Radio, Algoma quarterback Carter Zimmerman carried 37 times for 266 yards and three touchdown runs (of 62, 5 and 17 yards).
Zimmerman also completed 4-of-7 passes for 106 yards and three TD passes, with one interception.
His scoring passes were all to Kaden Vardon--on plays of 67, 8 and 18 yards.
Fullback Noah Lukes also scored a TD for the Wolves on a 3-yard run.
Algoma also converted four two-point extra point conversions on a Zimmerman run, Layton Haegele run, pass from Zimmerman to Vardon, and Grant Vandervest run.
Gibraltar's Sam Lindenberg, meanwhile, scored two rushing touchdowns on runs of 25 and 44 yards in the first half. He threw three TD passes in the second half--29 yards to Braden Kita, and 51 and 12 yards to Braden Sitte.
Gibraltar also scored a touchdown on a 10-yard fumble return by Jack Duffy in the third quarter and a safety on high snap in the fourth when the Wolves were at their own 9-yard line. Gibraltar converted 2-of-6 two-point conversions.
WDOR noted Zimmerman's 62-yard run came on the game's second play and his 67-yard pass to Vardon on the Wolves' second possession. However, Algoma had several time-consuming drives -- such as 16 plays, 78 yards for their third score; and 13 plays, 49 yards for a touchdown in the second half.
WDOR cited Algoma's big, physical line of Carter Dachelet, Allen Ritchie and Noah Lukes for good play throughout the game; and Zimmerman, Vardon and Vandervest for their play in the secondary.

You need to plan your work and work your plan.
You want to win the Championship? Ask yourself these questions then.
1) What sacrifices am I willing to make to achieve my goals?
2) What talents & skills do I have to acquire?
3) Whom do I have to work with to accomplish it?
4) What problems am I going to have to overcome?
5 What kind of choices am I going to make between now & achieving my goal?
