🚨 IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION REMINDER FOR FAMILIES! 🚨

School starts in one week, and we want to make sure we have every student who needs transportation accounted for!

If your child will need bus transportation to or from school, please complete the transportation registration form ASAP. 🚌

Families MUST register for transportation each school year, even if your child has ridden the bus in previous years.

“Hello Algoma! My name is Wendy Gadouas, and I am thrilled to join Algoma Middle/High School this fall as your new 9th and 10th-grade science teacher! My goal is to create a hands-on learning environment that deeply connects scientific exploration with literacy skills preparing students to read, write, and think critically about the world around them. Originally from Milwaukee, I moved to Algoma in October 2025 and quickly fell in love with this wonderful, welcoming community. Outside the classroom, I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with animals—especially dogs! I have a deep passion for scientific discovery and a lifelong love of learning. I am incredibly excited to get started this school year and look forward to making meaningful contributions to our students, families and the community for many years to come!”

I graduated from and live in Kimberly, Wisconsin (I know, quite the hike!) and received my bachelor's degree in History from Utah Tech University. Since moving back home in 2024, I have been working in the Kaukauna School District as both a paraprofessional and long-term social studies substitute, and I am so excited to start my teaching career here in Algoma! When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy reading, practicing and/or teaching martial arts, and woodcarving! I am very excited to get to know and serve your students and the Algoma community! As an Algoma alum, coming back to support the school and community that shaped me into who I am today means the world. After high school, I went on to earn both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at UW-Stevens Point. Helping students find their voice and build strong communication skills is my absolute passion, and I can't wait to jump in and support our kids every step of the way. I look forward to meeting all the students and their families! Outside of school, I love hunting, fishing, being in nature, watching football, being active, and spending time with my family.

I attended Algoma School District throughout my primary and secondary education and recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Having attended Algoma School District as a student, I received an impactful education surrounded by teachers who supported me. This positive educational experience is what drove my ambition to return as an educator and cultivate the same impactful learning experiences for my future students. On top of teaching, I am passionate about playing and coaching sports, and cannot wait to continue mentoring Algoma’s youth through athletics. It's time to complete your child's annual PowerSchool registration for the upcoming school year!

All families are required to complete this process for each student. Registration is completed entirely online and gives you the opportunity to:

✅ Update your family's contact information
✅ Review and update emergency contacts
✅ Complete and sign all required school forms

Taking a few minutes to complete your registration now helps ensure we have accurate information and that your child is ready for a smooth start to the school year.

⚠️ Public Notice: Active Shooter Training Today⚠️
Local law enforcement and first responders will be utilizing the Algoma Middle/High School building to conduct active shooter training today.

Please keep the following details in mind if you plan to be near the campus:

🕒 Time: The training will take place between noon and 8:00 PM.

🏋️ Wellness Center: The Wellness Center will remain open to the public as usual.

🛑 Safety & Navigation: If you must visit the school building during this window, please pay close attention to the signs posted at the entrances and throughout the building to ensure you stay clear of the training areas.
