My two Bouviers dropped into a down almost on top of each other as we approached the gate into the sheep paddock. They are not waiting to herd them, they are waiting for me to lock them up so they can run the perimeter of the sheep's pasture. This happens twice a day at dawn and duck, which allows them to freely hunt and mark territory along the fence line. I like to believe it also helps alerts coyotes and fox to stay out of the field. I have seen them outside the fence along the woods edge but never in the field since I started this.
