Cohen Gallery:
Gabriel John Poucher: The Nuclear Seed
This exhibition highlights work made while in residence during Poucher's 25-26 Turner Teaching Fellowship.
Summer Hours: Wednesdays-Sundays, 12-4 pm

Fosdick-Nelson Gallery:
The Art of Katherine Nelson
A celebration of Clara Katherine Nelson's (1890-1984) long life in painting and teaching. The works in the exhibition are on loan from Alfredians and outlanders alike, all celebrating the life and work of Nelson. Curated by Megan Perry and Hope Zaccagni.
Summer Hours: Wednesdays-Fridays, 12-4 pm

Last week we welcomed a visit from the SUNY Chancellor, John King, as well as our NYS Assembly member, Joe Sempolinski. Both met with students involved in two of NYSCC’s signature programs: the Summer Ceramic Internship Program and the Engineering Summer Research Program.

The Division of Sculpture Dimensional Studies at Alfred University fosters progressive creative growth while stimulating innovative technical and conceptual development in each individual student. The diverse faculty aim to foster thoughtful exploration into a wide range of materials and processes that challenge and examine the ever-expanding field of sculpture.
