Alfred University Counseling and School Psychology Alfred University Counseling and School Psychology graduate programs Degrees are offered at the masters and the doctoral level.

Alfred University's graduate program in counseling prepares you for counseling positions in elementary, middle and high schools, colleges and universities, mental health centers and social service agencies. Alfred University's School Psychology program prepares professional psychologists to work with children and adults who impact children in school, family, and mental health settings. All full time students in the division are offered Graduate Assistant positions, which fund half of his or her tuition.

Alfred University’s CSI Chapter was proud to be represented at the Oak Orchard Healthy Kids Fair in Hornell, NY, this past weekend!

Hosted by CSI President Natalia, our booth offered a variety of mental health activities and resources for children, families, and adults. Attendees could take home coping cards, participate in fun emotion-focused activities, grab stickers and water bottles before the quarter-mile race, and enjoy relaxing instrumental music. We also provided daily log sheets and a QR code connecting parents and guardians with additional mental health information and resources.

Natalia had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful local families and share valuable mental health resources with the community. We are grateful to have been part of such a fun and meaningful event and look forward to continuing to connect with and support our local community throughout the year!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a reminder of something we should be talking about every day.

While mental health matters all year round, let’s use this month as a powerful opportunity to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and remind one another it’s okay not to be okay.

Use this time to check in on yourself and those around you. Share your story if you’re able. Listen without judgement. Encourage open conversations.

And remember, speaking up isn’t a weakness, it’s an act of strength.

Let this month be the start or continuation of making mental health a priority, this month and every month. 💛💛

Members of this esteemed organization portray excellence in the counseling profession, scholarship, and integrity.
