The emerging field of digital media and animation is impacting virtually every industry and profession. The DMA program provides students with a broad range of technical, creative, and problem-solving skills to facilitate their employment in the expanding fields of digital media and animation. At the core of the program is an eight-semester sequence of studio courses that enhances individual artistic creativity and provides instruction in the traditional arts and industry standard computer software.

Students from our Digital Media & Animation and Marketing programs recently teamed up for a hands-on field trip to Iron Smoke Distillery in Fairport!

This visit kicked off an exciting collaborative project where our students are combining their skills across disciplines to create stunning 3D-rendered visuals and video content for Iron Smoke's marketing efforts. From behind-the-scenes marketing campaigns to eye-catching product renders, our students are getting real-world experience working directly with a local business to bring their creative and technical talents to life.

This kind of cross-program collaboration is exactly what prepares our students for careers in today's marketing and media landscape — blending storytelling, design, and technology to create content that truly stands out.

A huge thank you to Iron Smoke Distillery for welcoming our students and giving them this incredible opportunity! We can't wait to share the final projects.
