A core element of the Alfred State experience is to discover who you want to be in this world by identifying the causes and issues that ignite your curiosity and sense of social responsibility. In addition, Working with the Center of Civic Engagement, you find ways to channel passions into action through community service, cultural immersion experiences, activist initiatives, political involvement, and much more. Events with Civic Engagement are programs that help get you more involved in your community.We hold events from informational fairs to going out into the community and doing service. Be the change you want to see in the world.

Happy National Voter Registration Day, Y’all!!
If you are eligible to register and not sure if you are, today is a great day to check your registration status and make sure you are ready to vote your voice this November. Stop by Alfred State SLC Parkspace today (September 15th) from 11-2 to pick up Voter Ed materials. Or come see us on Thursday outside Kindred Collective from 11-1pm in the village of Alfred- we will be with our voter Ed friends from AU that day to celebrate Constitution Day and the right of citizens to vote.
