Canby MN High School Trap Team

On Tuesday, our High School Trap Team traveled to Alexandria, MN, to compete in the Minnesota State Trap Shooting Championship. We were proud to have 18 team members represent our school on one of the biggest stages in Minnesota trap shooting.

The State Championship brings together thousands of student-athletes from across the state, and our shooters demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, focus, and dedication throughout the competition.

A special congratulations goes out to Jadyn Schmitt for shooting her first perfect 25!

Thank you to our coaches, parents, volunteers, and supporters who make this program possible. Your encouragement and commitment help our student-athletes succeed both on and off the range.

Congratulations to all 18 shooters on a great experience and for representing Canby Public Schools and community with pride!

See you tomorrow morning Lancer Trap Team! Please be there by 7:30. Opening ceremonies are at 7:45 and we will shoot at 8:00.

Minnesota Trap Shooting Championship - Tuesday, June 16

Please be there by 7:30am for opening ceremonies. We will shoot at 8:00am at Trap house 6A. Please plan accordingly for any road closures/detours.

I would recommend bringing a chair and dress for the weather. Shorts are permitted but closed toed shoes are required. We will set up camp behind our designated trap house.

Do not forget your gun, safety glasses, ear protection, and pouch if you have one. We will bring extra pouches. We will bring the shells. All guns must be uncased at the vehicle with the action open before entering the shooting area. You are allowed to bring in food and drink. There are several food truck options.

You are required to wear your BLACK trap shirt.
