I have shared this information with LMEA and LBA. Any band directors and flute teachers who read this post, please feel free to share it. This regards the LMEA All-State Flute audition Set III-Bach Sarabande in a minor (Selected Studies page 4). There are a couple of wrong notes in this excerpt. In measure 29 the 4th eighth note should be D (not C). In measure 32 the downbeat should be a C (not D). I have corrected this with all of my flute students over the years and shared this information with other band directors, but now that I am retired from teaching band, I don’t know if the current band directors are aware of these misprints. I am concerned about how this will be adjudicated on the audition.
