FAQ for the Reiley Elementary Summer Reading Program!

Why do we need to do a reading assessments on Mondays? : The oral reading fluency assessments last one minute once we have an idea of what level your student is on. The overall goal this summer is that we don't have reading loss. This is the way we can track your student's reading progress. I will give you bingo sheets and reading logs on Mondays.

What do I need to do to register: Just register for whatever weeks/events you are able to come to. It's a week by week registration so I know who to expect BUT if you come at all, consider yourself registered. :)

What if you are traveling and can't attend events?: No worries! We would still love for you to participate! You can read while you travel and make sure you email me what you've done so I can give you your prizes when you get home.

What Prizes will you have?: Water Bottle Stickers, Tattoos, Keychains, Snacks, fidgets, toys, and Tickets to put into the drawing for a gift card or themed basket of your choice! We will also feature some well developed book talks on the morning news! Any student who completes the program will receive recognition during the first live morning news show!

Yes, there is a sign up for this program! We will post them SOON for each session! Let your kids know that there will be prizes, engaging activities and fun ways to enjoy reading over the Summer! STAY TUNED! (Thanks for your support, parents! Invite more Reiley families to follow the page too, please!! The more the merrier and chances of us having the program long term!!)
