Congratulations, Dr. Beard!

LSU System President Wade Rousse has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Beard, Ph.D., as the next Chancellor of Louisiana State University of Alexandria, following a national search to identify the university’s new leader.

Beard currently serves as Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at LSUA and brings more than two decades of leadership experience in higher education.

Allow us to reintroduce ourselves! 🌟

As we approach the end of the Spring 2026 semester, we want to take a moment to recognize the amazing team we have here with LSUA Engaged Teaching and Learning. Our Engaged Teaching and Learning programs would be lost without the contributions and leaderships by these hard-working faculty and staff members.

Geaux Generals, and Geaux LSUA ETL!
