Congratulations to Ambar Cecile Broom, ADC's Teacher of the Year. You exhibit outstanding compassion, positivity, and dedication to continually improving your teaching methods. Myself, the daycare and our children are thankful and proud to have you. We appreciate you ♥️

If I were to elaborate on our team and the significance each member holds for me, highlighting their tireless efforts and commitment to shaping the future of our children, this message would undoubtedly extend throughout the day, accompanied by tears of joy. These exceptional individuals comprise the finest group of ladies, and I couldn’t be more thankful or proud.
It’s been a busy week and a half closing out the remaining observations for the 24-25 school year. To celebrate last night we attended the performance of Messiah together as a team bonding/building experience and literally ‘bought the T-shirt’ 😂 Then today we were awarded a recognition banner for Early Childhood Excellence from the Rapides Parish School Board. I love our teachers at Alexandria Day Care 🤍

Please parents be watching for RPSB updates on the weather next week. We will be closed Monday for Martin Luther King holiday and now Tuesday due to weather. We apologize for any inconvenience and make sure to stay safe and warm.

RPSB Families and Community,

According to the National Weather Service and local authorities, the expected temperatures and precipitation that are expected in our area on Tuesday may create unsafe conditions for our buses to run and for students to safely report to school. Therefore, all Rapides Parish Public Schools and Offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025.

We will continue to monitor weather conditions and the impact on our buildings throughout this weather event. A decision regarding a safe return to work and school will be made on Tuesday. Families and community members can expect an update by 2:00 p.m.

Communication will be sent to families using our mass notification system and information will be posted on our website, rpsb.us, and on our social media channels.

We appreciate your attention to these updates, and we hope everyone stays safe and warm.

I started to address you as parents, but you all are so much more than that to us all.
We lost not only the owner of the daycare, but my Grandfather.
Just as I consider you all family, our staff is family.
We will be closing the center tomorrow so that myself and the staff can take the day to honor the man he was to us all.
Please excuse us as we pay our respects.
Operations will continue Wednesday morning as normal.

Our Teacher Of The Year, Jewel Reason!!
Jewel received the top CLASS score this year at the center. She is 21 years old, a mother of two and received her CDA this past fall. She is the project queen, teaches, and gives of herself daily. She is such a multitasking, hardworking, dedicated and dependable individual. That’s all something to brag about… She’s had quite the year here at Alexandria Day Care!
We ALL couldn’t be prouder of her!!!

We have a blast together even if it’s in class at NSU! The lady who taught our class sent me this picture and said I had a great time with your wonderful group of ladies!
We are competitive with one another even if it’s building a “Mardi Gras Float!” 🤣
