SewLab SewLab is a sewing education studio located in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia. Sewing classes for kids, teens, ages 7+. Preregistration.

Our goal is to provide a fun, creative and supportive learning environment for kids and teens, ages 7 and above, to learn how to sew. Instruction is tailored to meet the needs of each individual based on their current sewing level. Our specialty is launching beginner sewers and having fun. We support you with expert advice, instruction and materials. SewLab offers Kid/Teen sewing classes after sch

ool and Saturdays, Kid/Teen summer week-long and weekly sewing classes, private lessons, specialty workshops, parties and other events. Private lessons on learning to use your personal sewing machine

We offer many entry points to learn to sew, expand your know-how and utilize a fully equipped SewLab workstation to complete your own projects. SewLab studio has available:

● Sewing stations with sewing tool kits
● Ironing stations with pressing equipment
● Large cutting tables at counter height
● Cutting mats and specialized rulers
● Reference Library

After six wonderful years of teaching kids, teens (and adults) to sew, I am moving on to another new adventure. Spring 2019 classes will be the last session at SewLab in Del Ray. SewLab is closing and I will be packing up my studio for a move to Philadelphia this summer. It has been a pleasure and honor to bring the joy of sewing to so many students in the DMV.
