How Healthy Is Ginger? (Gift Article) 12/09/2025

Ginger!

To make ginger tea:
Thinly slice or grate fresh ginger root and add it to a pot of water. Bring it to a boil, then let it simmer for a few minutes. Alternatively, you can just steep the ginger in hot water.

Optional additions: black pepper, fennel seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, clove, or star anise. Another option is to add lemon juice and, once the tea is cool enough, a bit of raw honey.

No need to peel the ginger—just wash it.

No measuring required. Everything is to taste. Experiment and discover what you like. I'd love to hear how you enjoy the tea!
