Our annual Picnic & Bike Rodeo is coming up Friday, September 25, and we need volunteers to help make the evening run smoothly.

Polk’s Owl-O-Ween Auction is coming Saturday, October 24!

An adults-only night of bidding, food, fun and costumes, all to support our Polk Owls. 💙💛

And we already have some pretty great auction items lined up, including family vacation options, massages, kids’ sports registrations and more!

Fall Clubs are coming back to Polk! 💙💛

Registration opens September 8 for another great lineup of after-school activities, including returning favorites like Lego, Volleyball, Photography, Math Games and more, PLUS new clubs like Origami and Chinese Language!

Clubs are open to all K–5 students.

Backpacks are packed, lunches are planned (or at least we’re getting there!), and our Polk Owls are ready to spread their wings into a brand-new school year. 🦉💙💛

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back tomorrow morning and kick off another year of learning, friendship, and all the moments that make our Polk community so special.

📣 Grade-Level Facebook Groups: Coming Soon! 📣

We’re seeing lots of requests to join our grade-level Facebook groups already (YAY!), and we love that everyone is ready to connect! 💙💛

A quick heads-up: the groups have not yet been updated for the 2026–27 school year. If you’ve requested to join, your request may stay pending for a little bit while we get the groups refreshed with the correct grade levels and information.

We’ll post as soon as they’re ready to go. Thanks for your patience, Polk families! 🦉

Back-to-school shopping still on your list? We’ve got you! ✏️📓

If you pre-ordered a Sprout School Supply Kit, it will be delivered directly to your child’s classroom before the first day of school.

If you didn’t pre-order, ACPS is now using TeacherLists to make shopping a little easier. You can view or print your child’s list, compare prices across retailers and purchase supplies online if you choose, all without creating an account.
