Growing up, I admired her cheerful and hard-working ways, always ready to lend a hand and hold a hand. Her exclamation, "Look at those little hands!" is where our business name came from! FREE event for children in Alexandria! "Tons of Trucks!" (How great that the City is having an event that goes along with Little Hands Fall music class theme!!)
Children of all ages will have the opportunity to explore their favorite vehicles, get behind the wheel, and meet the people who protect, build, and serve our City. New this year and in celebration of the City’s 275th anniversary, admission is now FREE. The City will also provide a “sensory-friendly hour” for the first 60 minutes of the event (10a.m.-11a.m.). Truck-themed activities include an art project with the City's Mobile Art Lab, photo opportunities, giveaways, and food truck vendors.

Tons of Trucks 2024 The City of Alexandria will host its eighth annual Tons of Trucks event on Saturday, September 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Chinquapin Park (3210 King St.). The event is now FREE to the public!

Peek right in to classes in Alexandria this week! Starting on Wednesdays at the Durant Center - 10 week session, 10:30 toddlers, 11:15 infants! Space is available for you and your child!
