Our Wildcats had such a fun evening exploring, experimenting, and learning together! From exciting reactions to hands-on challenges, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Students and families rotated through some awesome science stations, including Animal Adaptations, Elephant Toothpaste, Floating Dry Erase, Static Electricity, Moon Craters, Probability Lab, and Slime!

A BIG thank you to Mrs. Kelly for organizing this event, our teachers and staff who helped make each station so much fun, and to all of our Wildcat families who came out and made the night such a success!

Every Thursday, our Wildcat teachers use part of their planning time to participate in Teacher Collaboration Meetings! These meetings give our teachers time to work together, share ideas, look at student needs and data, and plan ways to help every Wildcat grow and succeed. Celebrating our Wildcats and National Arts in Education Week!

There is something special about watching a child create. Give them a pencil, paintbrush, clay, or a blank piece of paper, and they can turn an idea in their head into something completely their own.

We are so thankful for Ms. Wilson and the love and creativity she brings into our art room. She encourages every student to try, create, explore, and most importantly, be proud of what they make.

Our art students have been working hard, and we are so proud of the creativity and personality they put into their artwork. Every piece tells a little story about the student who made it.

Thank you, Ms. Wilson, for giving our Wildcats a place to create, imagine, and shine! We are so lucky to have you!

Motivational. That's the word Lisa Wilson uses to describe art in her classroom at Rosenthal Montessori Elementary School.

🎨 For nine years, she's taught art to students from Pre-K through 6th grade, giving them a space to build creativity and critical thinking. This month, her students are studying Yayoi Kusama, the Princess of Polka Dots, and are working on a school-wide collaborative piece.

She's spent 21 of her 23 years in education serving Rapides Parish students. Happy National Arts in Education Week, Mrs. Wilson. Thank you for giving our youngest artists a place to grow!

Rapides Parish students can be screened for the Talented program in visual arts, music, and theater. Interested students should submit an art portfolio or a music or theater performance video to your school's SBLC chairperson by Friday, October 9.
