If you’re a yoga teacher and you’d like a refresh on anatomy and biomechanics, and/or to reinvigorate your sequencing, this retreat is for you!

Angelina and Paul will lead you through meditation, yoga, and pranayama practices using anatomical terms and theory or you can experience what you learn over the weekend.

You’ll learn about anatomy and biomechanics as a tool to help inform your sequencing, and have an opportunity to write a sequence and work one on one with Angelina and Paul.

Have you been practicing yoga for a while and still aren’t always sure where your hands and feet should? Or have you been a regular yoga practitioner and are looking for a way to deepen your awareness of yoga poses?

When we understand the intended effect of a yoga pose, it can change everything! This knowledge can allow a student to customize to yoga postures for them and how they are in that moment. It can also help yoga students become stronger and more mobile when the have a better understanding of how to move their body in their practice

Join Angelina and Paul for this unique opportunity to learn more about basic anatomy and biomechanics to help you better understand your yoga practice and how to adapt it to what you’re working toward.

A weekend getaway yoga retreat is set for you this summer! Join myself and Paul Earhart for a unique weekend only 2 hours from NOVA where you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about yoga postures, functional movement, and how to adapt yoga postures for your practice.

Yoga teachers will also hav an extra workshop on creative sequencing. Working with Angelina and Paul, yoga teachers will leave this retreat feeling inspired and confident in using functional movement to create truly unique sequences.

There’s also a pool and a hot tub, fire pit, stunning views of the Potomac River, additional massages, and nourishing vegetarian meals.

When you come on a yoga retreat with you get to experience the region where the retreat is. On this retreat to Portugal Sept 20-26, 2026, we will be staying in a private villa with a pool, dedicated yoga space, views of the Duoro Valley, and a private chef who creates delectable Portuguese meals.

Each day we will adventure into the Duoro Valley. We venture out into quaint little towns with epic views. A relaxing boat cruise on the Douro River offers insight into the region and information about the valley. And there’s tons of time to relax by the pool.

We also have a dedicated yoga space complete with all the props where will start each day with movement to get us going.

The best part? You don’t have to plan or organize anything expect your arrival in Porto. Our driver will transport us from Porto to the Villa, take us to all activities during the retreat, and return us to Porto. Every activity is taken care of, so you simply show up and relax!
