As we wrap up this year’s National Parent Teacher Association 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 program, we want to thank all of the students who participated, as well as the parents, staff, and community members who volunteered their time to support the program.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to our judges: Supervisor Rodney Lusk, 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴 (stephaniechangart.com), and 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗮𝗻, for volunteering their time to thoughtfully review and evaluate each submission. Judging the Reflections entries takes a great deal of care and attention, and we are so grateful for the time they dedicated to recognizing our students’ creativity, talent, and hard work.

Special thanks as well to 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘀 in the Hayfield front office, who was incredibly helpful and always willing to answer many questions throughout the process; parent volunteer 𝗔𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘀 for generously giving her time and support; and PTSA Treasurer 𝗗𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 for helping with printing and answering questions along the way. We would also like to thank the teachers in the Art, English, and Special Education departments for helping promote the Reflections program to their students and encouraging participation.

We hope that even more students will consider participating again next year with the theme: “𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝘆 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗲”. In addition to offering the 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, and 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 categories, next year we will be adding 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆, 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻! Scholarship opportunity for graduating seniors:

Hayfield PTSA/ANGP Scholarship - awarded to graduating seniors who have demonstrated involvement in the Hayfield community through academics and activities; organization fundraisers provide funds for this scholarship. FOUR - $500.00 Scholarship Awards

All applications will be considered for scholarship - closes on May 10th

Criteria:
✔ Seniors continuing education at a 2-year, 4-year college/university or an accredited Professional/Technical School

PTSA is doing a “last minute” Earth day school yard clean up event TODAY afterschool (3-4:15). It was announced to students on Monday.
We will also be partnering with the Environmental club NEXT week (April 29th)!
So excited for student to show pride in our school and community while earning community service hours!
