We are happy to announce auditions for our Fox Teen Production!
Auditions for DEARLY DEPARTED directed by Ian Brulte will be held May 30 from 1-3:00. Please prepare a one minute or less long age appropriate monologue. AGES 15-18.

Here it is: the 2026/2027 Empty Space Players season! This season has it all: laughter, music, heartbreak, weird and wonderful characters… even a man-eating plant! Stay tuned for details and audition information.

This was a year of incredible growth for our program, featuring several major milestones including:

Over 40 students participating in our season productions, plus over 80 students performing in our Intro to Theatre class plays!

Three world-premiere scripts, written by local high school and college students in our first-annual Young Playwrights’ Festival.

An amazing collaboration with Rapides Symphony Orchestra for their holiday concert.

The return of musicals to the LSUA stage, this time featuring a cast and crew made up entirely of students!

It’s a great time to get involved in the arts at LSU Alexandria. We hope you’ll continue to support us as we build this program.

Some of the actors in our presentations are also incredible student-athletes, so we're re-arranging our schedule to accommodate their postseason play!

Section 1: TUESDAY at Noon
Section 2: THURSDAY at 10AM

We didn't want any of them to miss out on the chance to show off their work! Come support them on stage and then go support them on the field later this week!

The Black Box Sessions returns to LSUA College of Liberal Arts, bringing artists and audiences together in an intimate, one-of-a-kind setting.

Inside our black box theater, each performance will go beyond the music, featuring conversations that highlight the stories behind the music.
