TEACHER HIGHLIGHT! ⚡️💫🔌💡
Hello,
I am Mr. Wentworth, the QoA 4th grade teacher. For our study of electricity in science, students made their own electric circuits. They made their own switches with note cards, paperclips, and brads. Here they have wired three lightbulbs in parallel so they can be switched on and off independently.

Come see Guys and Dolls at B.I.! This funny and family friendly musical takes place in New York in the 1950's with a fantastic story involving a church band, a bad case of the sniffles, and gamblers dancing in a sewer.
The show will be on April 4, 5, 6, 11, and 12. The Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:00 and the Sunday show begins at 2:00. Below is the address for the auditorium at Bishop Ireton as well as ticket information.

Teacher highlight!
My name is Mr. D. In our first-grade classroom, we have started emphasizing the science of reading to aid in the development of our young students. These lessons often incorporate various teaching methods to accommodate the diverse learning styles present in the classroom. We utilize tools such as our Word Wall, Document Camera, Active Board TV, sensory screens, and crayons to facilitate this process. During a spelling lesson, we tap out the sounds we hear and trace spelling words as we collectively practice the correct way to form letters, blend sounds, and decode words. The students seem to enjoy this approach, favoring a blend of traditional and modern methods.

Hello!
I’m Mrs. Aviles, the art teacher at Queen of Apostles, where I work with students from kindergarten through middle school. I truly love developing new projects for my students, and nothing brings me more joy than watching them learn and have fun while exploring exciting and practical techniques in the classroom. In these photos, you can see them experimenting with stamp rolling and screen printing, where they engage with various textures. Each student created their own foam stamp, selected their favorite colors, and produced fantastic printed compositions.

The 8th Grade Class of 2025 is hard at work on their Legacy Project to replace the tattered safety mats that run along our gym's stage. These new mats come at a significant cost. They are hosting a shoe sale this spring!
Our 8th graders are collecting new or barely-worn shoes throughout the month of February. Anything left over from the sale will be donated to charity.
Thank you in advance for supporting the 8th Grade Legacy Project and helping us make this initiative a success! God Bless You and Your Shoes!
