Rooted in rhythm and tradition, May Day is a cornerstone of our Waldorf community. From the 1st graders dancing around the maypole to our 5th graders providing live string accompaniment, we are coming together to celebrate renewal and growth.

✨ During the playdate, your child will enjoy free play and a simple baking activity, while you have the opportunity to meet our teachers, explore the classroom, and learn more about our program.

🌿 Today our forest day had some special visitors from the Washington Society of Landscape Painters.

🎨 Artists were painting scenes from around the lighthouse at Jones Point Park and our preschool and kindergarten children observed and asked many questions.

✨ Our Maple Tree kindergarten has been creating beautiful felted flowers and wreaths in anticipation of Spring.

✨ Wet felting is a craft which requires lots of patience. Children watch the magic unfold as fluffy wool turns into a work of art, using soapy water and their hands!
