As the current president of the ARHA Resident Association the goal is to cultivate the mindset to encourage residents to never believe in their vision. In this process of understanding that concept, effective mentoring is promoted for the youth and adults to express themselves in a creative way. From the ARA Resident Association Officers

The ARA Resident Association is committed to keeping all ARHA residents informed, connected, and involved.

Beginning in September, we will hold our monthly Resident Association meetings in person. If there is inclement weather, or for residents who are unable to attend in person, we will also provide a Zoom option.

Our goal is to make sure residents receive accurate and reliable information regarding ARHA agency updates, Resident Association announcements, community resources, upcoming events, and other important information.

🚌 Acting superintendent says ACPS has ‘more work to do’ on bus eligibility as parents speak out

Alexandria parents criticized new ACPS walk zones, saying some children lost bus eligibility and must walk along unsafe routes after boundary changes took effect July 1. Acting Superintendent Grace Taylor said the school system is reviewing concerns, correcting eligibility and route issues, and working with police on unsafe crossings.

ACPS is pleased to announce Ursula Rocha has been promoted to director of school psychology. Rocha brings 25 years of experience supporting students and families across all school levels. Throughout her career with ACPS, she has advanced equity in mental health services, strengthened student support systems and led divisionwide work in social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, prevention and trauma-informed practices.
