One of The Art Clubās signature activities is our Parachute Circle Time, included in all outdoor classes! This is a lovely time where we build community within the class. (swipe)
We gather on the parachute and welcome every child present in song. We then explore rhythm instruments with song and movement. We love egg shakers, rhythms sticks, and scarves. We wiggle, shake, jump, tap, clap, stretch, and more.
The last part of Parachute Circle Time is, you guessed it, parachute songs and games! We use songs and movement to explore what the parachute can do. We love when the parachute acts as an umbrella and shelters us from windy and stormy weather. We also love popping giant batches of popcorn using ball pit balls! Sometimes we work as a team to rotate the parachute in giant, colorful circles.
This is a special time for both caregivers and their children, full of squeals of laughter. Weāve come to absolutely love it!
