Yesterday we celebrated the Innovative Redesign of our CCMS Campus. This project gives us the opportunity to transform a strong school into an innovative, student-centered campus designed to inspire learning, collaboration, creativity, and exploration.
We wanted to make sure one important voice is at the center of this project, the students. We had our band and choir perform, and they most certainly impressed. We also had a challenge for our students. We asked them to write about what they believe is the best part of CCMS. They thought about the classes they love, the opportunities they have, the people who support them, and what makes them proud to be a Camel. As they wrote, they chose one word or short phrase, their word of impact, that captures what CCMS means to them.
After reviewing all of their thoughtful responses, teachers selected several students whose words truly captured what makes CCMS special. These students were chosen to represent the student voice and help us celebrate this exciting new chapter for our school. We had the students write their word of impact on the wall, to forever be a part of the impact of CCMS.
