Summer 2019 KACIF APPLICATION PERIOD April 1-15:

Applications for Summer 2019 grants of the GW Knowledge in Action Career Internship Fund (KACIF) will be accepted April 1-15, 2019. Eligible students with qualified unpaid internships this Summer can apply for up to $3,000 to support their internships (grant awards typically range between $750 and $1500 for domestic internships, and between $2000 and $3000 for international).

Information including eligibility, application forms, selection process, past recipient experiences, etc can be found at http://go.gwu.edu/internfund. Applicants will be notified of their grant decision on May 1.

Early Decision Summer 2019 applications for the GW Knowledge in Action Career Internship Fund (KACIF) will be accepted thru February 15-March 1!*

The KACIF program encourages GW students to pursue high-quality, necessarily unpaid internships that foster their career exploration and enhance their academic program, while reducing the financial challenges associated with unpaid internships.

Eligible students with qualified unpaid internships this Summer can apply for up to $3,000 to support their internships (grant awards typically range between $750 and $1500 for domestic internships, and between $2000 and $3000 for international).

If you have already secured a necessarily-unpaid summer internship, apply during the Early Decision period and you will receive a decision on your grant on April 1!

*Note: The general application period for Summer 2019 will be April 1-15.

The GW Career Quest program offers students an exclusive opportunity to gain an up-close and personal experience with leading organizations in Boston during the summer and New York City during Fall Break!

APPLICATION DEADLINE (for both Boston and NYC treks): Monday, February 11, 2019, at 12 Noon EST.

Through this program, select undergraduate students from the classes of 2020 and 2021 (e.g., current sophomores & juniors) and currently enrolled graduate students will:

•hone their informational interviewing and networking skills with employers
•learn how an organization works and about their job and internship opportunities
•hear from employers about their professional journeys and the pathways they followed to career success
•connect with GW alumni professionals in the Boston and New York City metropolitan areas
•explore the culture and experience the pulse of two major cities
