On June 27, City of Alexandria voters will decide on two school funding renewals for District 62 schools.

✅ These are renewals, not new taxes.

Both keep current funding in place to support building maintenance, classroom and school technology, instructional supplies, and day-to-day facility needs for the 18 schools this taxing district serves.

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Alex Goodling as the new principal of Bolton Academy!

Mr. Goodling brings 20 years of experience to this role, all of which he's served within our district.

His leadership journey began as a Lead Teacher at RAPPS from 2014 to 2018, followed by three years as Assistant Principal at Bolton High School from 2018 to 2021. Since 2021, Mr. Goodling has served as Principal of Northwood High School, where he demonstrated strong leadership and a clear focus on student-centered results.

Now, Mr. Goodling returns to a campus he knows well, stepping in to lead Bolton in its new chapter as a Pre-K-12 Academic and Performing Arts Magnet School.

"Bolton has one of the most storied histories of any school in the state of Louisiana," Mr. Goodling said. "I'm honored to be the new principal and make Bolton a standard of excellence not only in Rapides Parish, but across the entire state."

That vision is paired with a defined sense of purpose for what comes next. "Our work, in all aspects, will be focused on maximizing each student's academic potential while also providing the best, well-rounded school experience," Mr. Goodling said.
