Our Middle School GT Enrichment students tackled a quick-fire STEM challenge: build a freestanding tower in just 18 minutes! Armed with only uncooked spaghetti, string, masking tape, and a single marshmallow required to sit at the very top, students put their design and problem-solving skills to the test. 💙🐻🤍

Our AP Human & World Geography classes turned learning into an art form (and a snack time!) with the Orange Peel Challenge. Students mapped out the globe on an orange, peeled it, and tried laying it flat. The result? Rips, stretches, gaps, and a whole lot of lightbulb moments about map distortion! 💙🐻🤍 🍊🌎

Attention High School families with students enrolled in AP & DE courses:

We are so excited for a great school year and thrilled to see our students taking on the challenge of Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual Enrollment (DE) courses! This is a gentle reminder that all AP and DE course fees must be paid by Friday, August 14th to ensure your student remains enrolled in these classes. Students with unpaid fees after this date will unfortunately need to be removed from their courses and reassigned.

Paid in Person? If you already paid your fees in cash during schedule pickup on the first day, please disregard this reminder, you are all set!

Fun Day 1 in Chemistry! Students faced a tough rescue mission: Saving Sam. Sam the gummy worm who cannot swim found himself stranded on top of his capsized boat with his life preserver trapped underneath. Armed with only two paperclips and forbidden to use their fingers, teams had to design a plan, test ideas, and adjust on the fly. The task requires a team of students to work together to save Sam.
This fun challenge teaches the Engineering Design Process while building vital collaboration and perseverance skills. Every single team rose to the occasion and got Sam safely back to shore! Go Bears! 💙🐻🤍
