Last Saturday, student volunteers from Alexandria Country Day School collected more than 300 pounds of food for ALIVE!'s Food Distributions. These amazing Bobcats have raised more than $2,000 this year to help ensure that everyone if our community has the support they need.

Ten ACDS faculty members spent the start of their summer working in partnership with local small business, to “think wrong” to brainstorm strengths and challenges in our current science curriculum. After a morning of brainstorming, teachers worked in teams to design new project-based learning modules, as well as innovative ways to assess students’ science knowledge. Teams also worked together to identify community resources that could be used to further strengthen our science program. From dancing robots to student-welded slot cars, teachers were excited to design new hands-on opportunities for our students across all grade levels.
