Middle School students took a week-long break from academics to explore their surrounding communities. Groups of students explored nature preserves, local landmarks, museums, and art performances. Other groups covered mile upon mile of hiking and biking trails. In all courses, students were challenged to stretch themselves, try new skills, and work as a team.

A week of new experiences allowed lower school students to learn firsthand how it feels to try something new, get out of their comfort zones, and put their resilience to the test. Some classes explored local parks for birdwatching and picnics, while others learned to square dance and use sign language. All Lower School students tried their hand at taekwondo, built sculptures with their newly acquired woodworking skills, and experimented with new recipes during cooking lessons. The week wrapped up with a celebration of our new interests, skills, and accomplishments!
