George Washington Middle School Band Boosters

Thanks to everyone who came out to Chipotle last night! Spring2Action is now upon us and we need your help! This is our biggest fundraising effort each year.

Alexandria's annual Spring2ACTion giving day is coming up on April 9th, but early giving starts today! The George Washington Middle School Band Boosters need your support to meet the needs of our middle school band program. We can achieve our S2A goal of $7,000. with your participation! There are cash prizes for early giving that we are trying to capture this year for the band. We were also close to winning a grant prize for our large number of unique donors last year. Hey Krispy Kreme Fans! Band Boosters is partnering with Krispy Kreme Donuts to bring you the ultimate treat while supporting a great cause: our kids and the band program at GW! With Thanksgiving and the holiday season just around the corner, it’s a great time to treat yourself to Krispy Kreme’s delicious glazed donuts!

Here’s how this digital fundraiser works:
- Submit an order for the number of dozens you want through this order form (https://forms.gle/oSpP7ghgxpNzD7w97)

- After submitting your order, submit your payment to Band Boosters via Venmo () or Zelle (804-647-2761; [email protected])

- After we receive your order and payment, we will email you a link to your certificate which you can take to any store to redeem. Note: these certificates can only be redeemed in-person and cannot be redeemed through online or mobile orders.

- Each dozen is $14 (the standard price per dozen of Krispy Kreme’s original glazed) and certificates never expire so you can buy as many as you want knowing you can use them at any time!

These certificates are good at ANY Krispy Kreme location except for those located in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Puerto Rico. So feel free to spread the word to friends and family outside the area! If you have any questions, please reach out to the GW Band Boosters Program at [email protected].

Please mark your calendars for the first Restaurant Night Fundraiser for Band Boosters at Fairlington Pizza on Tuesday, October 8 and Wednesday, October 9. You can place an order anytime during these two days. When ordering online (https://fairlingtonpizza.com), you can include GW Band Boosters in “Special Instructions” after selecting an item to add to your order. When ordering in person, please mention to the cashier that you are ordering with the GW Band Boosters fundraiser. Please spread the word to your friends, family members, and neighbors to help us raise valuable funds to support the band program this year.

On Wednesday, October 9, Band Directors Molly Lum (who is replacing Rick Seracino) and Heather Rosner will be at Fairlington Pizza from 6-8 PM for an informal Meet-and-Greet so come by and say hello! Help us celebrate Mr. Seracino!!

After 34 years of teaching band at ACPS, Mr. Seracino will be retiring. We are as excited for this next chapter for Mr. Seracino as we are sad to see him go. He came to GW in 1998 after teaching music at the elementary school levels across the city and has led the GW band program to many outstanding concerts, performances, and competitions.
