Dannah Martin-Hartwick was named the RRAC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 22 points against Loyola and Mobile!

The Alexandria Chapter of the Louisiana Engineering Society hosted the regional MathCounts competition for 8th graders at LSUA on Friday, February 10th. The students competed in written and oral tests, both individually and as teams. We loved celebrating our local Mathletes from Alexandria Country Day School, Grace Christian School, Rapides Academy, and Tioga Junior High School along with our local companies Meyer, Meyer, LaCroix & Hixson, Beta Engineering, Pan American Engineers, Coastal Process LLC, Gulf States Engineering, Inc., Coastal Culvert & Supply, Inc., Contech, Red River Pump Specialists LLC, DIS-TRAN Steel, LLC, EE Consultants, Delta Process Equipment, QSM, D&W Systems, Technical Coatings Corp, GTL, and CMC. Please take a minute to appreciate our local future in mathematics-based careers like engineering, math and computer science.

LSUA has enrolled record numbers eight semesters in a row! The Fall 2022 student population stands at 4,115, the largest enrollment LSUA has seen to date. LSUA’s 9.1% growth over the past year stands in stark contrast to the national 3.4% decline across higher education.
