Every student in Rapides Parish eats breakfast and lunch at no cost. Keeping it that way takes just a few minutes of your time!

The Household Income Survey is a short, online form, and it does a lot of work behind the scenes. Your response helps us:

🍎 Maintain our Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), so every student continues to receive free breakfast and lunch, regardless of income.
πŸ“š Access educational support services for students.
πŸ’» Bring in additional resources for classroom materials and technology.

Completing the form does not change what your child receives. It simply helps us show the accurate needs of our community. Thus, helping us provide more opportunities for students!

Friendly Reminder: Brame Car Rider Line πŸš—

As we prepare for morning and afternoon arrival, please remember that our car rider line starts at the designated entrance and vehicles will begin moving once our buses have unloaded at approximately 7:15 a.m, 3:05 pm in the afternoon.

πŸš™ Car Rider Traffic Route:
Please access Mohon St. from Jackson St. near Calvary Baptist Church when entering the car rider line.

⚠️ Important Traffic Reminder:
Our teachers will be entering Mohon St. from Prescott Rd., along with our school buses. Please do not attempt to insert or cut into the car rider line. Doing so can prevent our buses from safely passing through and creates unnecessary traffic congestion.

➑️ Once you enter the drop-off area, please pull all the way forward before allowing your student(s) to exit your vehicle. This allows us to maximize the entire drop-off lane, unload more vehicles at one time, and keep traffic moving as efficiently as possible.

We appreciate everyone’s patience, cooperation, and attention to safety as we work together to make morning arrival and afternoon pick-up smooth for our students, families, staff, and bus drivers.

πŸŠπŸ’™πŸ’› Thank you, Brame families!

🚨 Breaking News: The Swamp is swarming with Gators!

Today, we had the joy of welcoming our newest Gators as our 6th graders kicked off the school year at Brame Middle School!

From meeting their teachers and exploring their new classrooms to playing games, winning prizes, and enjoying snow cones at lunch thanks to Mrs. JW, the day was filled with smiles, laughter, and new memories.

We are so excited to watch this class learn, grow, and make their mark as they begin their middle school journey. Thank you to our amazing staff for making our newest Gators feel right at homeβ€”we can't wait to see what this year has in store!

πŸ’š Welcome to The Swamp, 6th grade! We're so glad you're here.

Just a reminder we will continue to follow morning and afternoon procedures for drop-off and pick-up. Looking forward to seeing our 6th graders in the morning. πŸ’™πŸ’›

Important Update: Mohon St. Reopening and Car Rider Line Procedures

Beginning Monday, August 25, 2025, Mohon St. will reopen, but only as a one-lane, one-way street to facilitate our car rider line.

β€’ The car rider line will continue to unload and load students at the front of the school.

β€’ Parents, please do NOT drop off or pick up students behind the school or alongside the B or C Wing. The front of the school remains the designated location for drop-offs and pickups.

β€’ Using the front of the school has become more efficient as parents have adjusted their arrival times to help traffic flow smoothly.

β€’ Buses will continue to enter campus via Prescott Rd. and proceed down Mohon St. on the south side.

β€’ Please be courteous to driveways and entrances of local businesses in the area.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through these inconveniences to improve facilities for our teachers and students.

Thank you,
Sons Pathoumthong
Principal
