🎭 What a finale to the school year!

Our elementary classroom ended the year with so much creativity and heart. Working with Mr. McCreary, students memorized their lines, brought in their own costumes, and put on a play they were so proud of! They kicked things off with two theater games — Bus Stop and Name That Celebrity — and shared what they learned about the Actor’s Toolbox: Heart, Body, Imagination, Brain, and Voice. 💛🧠🎤

And on the very last day, our students kept giving — helping prepare hundreds of hot dogs, setting up tables, and pitching in right up until the last minute for our end of year gathering.

So proud of these kids and so grateful for a year full of growth, creativity, and community. Happy summer, everyone! ☀️🌭🎉

And just like that — the curtain closes on the most magical Teacher Appreciation Week. 🖤🌿✨

What a week. What a *community*.

Our staff was absolutely *showered* with snack bags to fuel the days, stunning bouquets arranged by the most precious little hands, a delicious lunch from Andy’s Pizza, and a half day Friday that felt like a collective exhale. Every single detail was chosen with intention, generosity, and love.

But the moment that stopped everyone in their tracks? A video compilation so tender, beautiful, and full of heart capturing what our teachers pour into these children every single day. Because the bond between a teacher and a child is something truly sacred. And this week, everyone got to see it.

The Wicked theme wove through every moment with such creativity and whimsy — a perfect backdrop for a community that is, in every sense of the word, extraordinary.

To every parent who gave their time, their energy, their creativity, and their generosity this week — thank you. Not just for the bouquets and the pizza and the perfectly curated snack bags but for *seeing* our teachers. For showing your children what it looks like to honor the people who show up for them every single day. You didn’t just appreciate our staff. You showed them they belong here, that they are significant, and that this village is grateful for every single one of them.

That lesson alone is worth everything. We are so lucky to call this our community. 🌿🖤

✨We are NOT in Kansas anymore and our teachers are absolutely here for it!

This Wicked-themed Teacher Appreciation Week has been nothing short of extraordinary. The creativity, the attention to detail, the sheer *love* poured into every single display… it’s the kind of thing that makes you catch your breath.

Because when someone takes that much time and care to celebrate you, it speaks to something we all carry as human beings - this deep, beautiful need to feel like we belong. To feel significant. To know that the work we pour ourselves into every single day is *seen*.

Our teachers are seen. Wildly, wonderfully, Wickedly seen. 🌟

And the best part? We’re only on Day 2 of 5. If this is what the beginning looks like, we have a feeling the rest of this week is going to be nothing short of extraordinary. The magic is just getting started. 🖤🌿

Thank you to Katie Kodak and her extraordinary group of parent volunteers who made this week so unforgettable already. You didn’t just decorate hallways — you filled hearts!

What an afternoon. ✨🌸

The rain held its breath, the drums filled the air, and our community showed up in the most beautiful way.

From the joy on children’s faces at the maker stations, to the beat of Kofi Dennis’ drumming that had everyone moving, to the tables full of incredible food and drink — the afternoon was warm, vibrant, and full of exactly the kind of connection that makes this community so special.

We’re still tallying the auction results and can’t wait to share the full numbers soon. But today, we just want to say THANK YOU.

❄️The First Snow!❄️

There’s something magical about snow when you’re a child. The world slows down, softens and becomes a place filled with wonder and delight. Each snowflake feels like a tiny miracle - unique, fleeting, and full of mystery. Children don’t just see snow…they feel it, marvel at it, chase it and taste it!

Snow invites them to explore with all their senses - the chill on their cheeks, the crunch beneath their boots, the sparkle in the air, the quiet from the blanket of the snow. It turns the familiar into the extraordinary as their paths to school shift, their playgrounds hold new adventures and the energy of sharing all of this with friends explodes.

Snow is simply captivating. Children discover joy, creativity, collaboration and pure wonder. They learn nature can surprise us, transform our world, and bring us together in moments of shared delight.

Winter's first snowfall is more than a pesky weather pattern - it’s enchantment, imagination, and childhood magic at its finest! ❄️✨
