Today on , let’s meet Morgan!
Morgan Villard is a student in the SPERO Program at
LSUA, and her journey is a powerful example of growth, resilience, and determination.
At 24 years old, Morgan is currently studying through Penn Foster to become a veterinary assistant, while also taking classes at LSUA and gaining hands-on experience in the field. She interns in the Science Building caring for lab animals, while also working at the Alexandria Animal Clinic with Dr. Bowers, where she continues building real-world clinical and patient care skills. As one of the first four students to ever join the SPERO program, Morgan has been part of shaping what it is today. Through the program, she has worked on communication, independence, and building meaningful connections, growing both personally and professionally. Her journey reflects real transformation. When she first arrived on campus, connecting with others felt challenging. Today, she confidently communicates, builds relationships, and balances multiple responsibilities, including her work at the clinic and her continued development as a student and future professional. She also showcased her creativity this year by participating in the LSUA Art Show, highlighting another side of her growth and involvement on campus.
When asked about her experience, Morgan shared:
🗣️”I truly love LSUA because it is an inclusive environment that welcomes students with disabilities. Having high-functioning autism and ADHD, I am grateful to be part of a campus that ensures I am included in everything: from academic opportunities to social experiences.” And in her own words:
“Spero has taught me how to live.”
Morgan’s story is a reminder that growth looks different for everyone, but with the right support, opportunities, and community, anything is possible.✨
We are very proud of you, Morgan.💜💛
