As a reminder, EWS is closed today for the Labor Day holiday!

Here are a few fun facts about Labor Day to share with your children:

A long time ago, many people worked very long hours and didn't have many days off. Workers wanted more time to rest, spend with their families, and be recognized for all their hard work.

🇺🇸 The first Labor Day celebration was held in New York City in 1882. Thousands of workers took part in a parade and celebration! Two labor leaders, Matthew Maguire and Peter J. McGuire, are credited with helping inspire the idea for Labor Day.

🇺🇸 In 1894, President Grover Cleveland signed a law making Labor Day a federal holiday.

🇺🇸 Today, we celebrate Labor Day across the country on the first Monday of September as a day to recognize and say “thank you” to America's workers!

School is officially out for summer!

After a fun filled year of adventures together, the S.S. Epiphany has set sail for summer break!

We would like to thank all of the EWS families past and present who make our school a success. We look forward to seeing all of our returning students, and best of luck to all our graduates and students moving on! Here's wishing you all a summer full of sunshine, adventure, and happy memories!
