✨ Happy Custodian Appreciation Day! ✨

Today, we’re celebrating our incredible custodian, Laura! 💛

Laura does so much behind the scenes to keep Kalon beautiful, welcoming, and ready for our scholars and staff each day. Her hard work, care, and attention to all the little things make such a big difference in our school family!

To show her just how much she means to us, we filled a bag with some of her favorite treats and had everyone write her a special note. 📝🍪 Because when someone takes such good care of our school, we want to make sure they know how much we love and appreciate them!

Laura, thank you for everything you do for Kalon. We love you! 🦁💛

Happy Custodian Appreciation Day to all of the hard working custodians in our community! 🎉

☕🍪 A Sweet Start to a Two-Hour Late Start!

Our staff enjoyed a little extra love this morning with coffee and cookies from Smart Cookie!

This new local coffee shop, located inside Cenex, is not only serving up delicious treats—it’s also giving back, this coffee shop supports ACCS, Kalon’s sports partner! 🦁🏆

We’re so grateful for local businesses that support our schools, our students, and our community.

🎣 A Great Night on the Lake! 🌅

Kalon Prep Academy had an incredible evening on the lake thanks to our friends at Let’s Go Fishing!

Our scholars had the opportunity to get out on the water, enjoy some fishing, make memories, and simply have a great time together. There’s something pretty special about stepping away from the classroom and learning, laughing, and connecting in a whole new setting. 💙

💛 Monday Mornings with the Grandmas! 💛

We’re starting our Mondays a little differently at Kalon Prep Academy — with some very special Grandmas! 🥰

As part of SOKs (Save Our Kids) and the “Grandma’s 3 Day Rule”, our Grandmas will be here on Monday mornings to greet our scholars, share breakfast, and most importantly, remind them that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

SOK’s is a new nonprofit in support of suicide-prevention.

What better way to start a Monday than with a warm welcome, a good breakfast, and a room full of Grandmas cheering you on? 💛

We are so grateful for the beautiful community surrounding our scholars and for the Grandmas who are willing to show up week after week to make a difference.

Because sometimes a simple “Good morning, we’re so glad you’re here” can mean more than we know. 🦁💛

What an incredible reunion! 💛🤍🖤

A huge thank you to our amazing committee—Marnie, Molly, Heather, Tracy, and Shayney—for creating such a memorable event. Your hard work and dedication made for an evening filled with so much joy, laughter, and, of course, countless hugs. It was truly special to see everyone together again.

The gym came alive almost instantly with a volleyball game, reminding us that some traditions never change!

One of the greatest joys was hearing about where life has taken our alumni. Our graduates are doing amazing things—working at Douglas Machine, REA, Spectrum, Alomere, Vivie, Superior, and many other incredible places. We also have three alumni who have started and are successfully running their own businesses. We couldn’t be more proud of all they are accomplishing!

And, of course, it wouldn’t be a reunion without our beloved White Elephant gift exchange! It brought plenty of laughs and added another layer of fun to an already unforgettable evening.

The entire evening was more than we could have asked for. Seeing former classmates reconnect, share stories, celebrate one another’s successes, and create new memories was a beautiful reminder that the friendships and community built here continue long after graduation.

Thank you to everyone who came and helped make this reunion such a special night. We can’t wait to do it again! 🎉

31 graduates. 🎓

31 amazing young people stepping into their next chapter with courage, determination, and hearts full of possibility.

We were honored to celebrate alongside more than 350 guests, hear from 4 incredible student speakers, and enjoy a beautiful performance of The Climb by senior Taylor Scott. Every part of the ceremony reflected the perseverance, growth, and determination that brought these graduates to this moment.

The day was filled with wisdom from Dr. Seuss and Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, reminding us that “You’re off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way.”

One of the most meaningful parts of the celebration was recognizing the many scholarships awarded to deserving students. A heartfelt thank you to those who continue to invest in the future of our graduates. Some of the scholarships include: the Amber Rousu Scholarship—may her beautiful spirit and love of learning continue to inspire others—the Jill Blaschack Strahan Scholarship for ATCC, and the Kim and Sherrill Wixon Scholarships, which were awarded to six students this year. Your generosity opens doors and creates opportunities that will impact lives for years to come.

What a glorious day filled with pride, gratitude, happy tears, laughter, and hope for what lies ahead.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. Your mountains are waiting. 💛
