Heartfelt congratulations to on her selection as the recipient of the prestigious Award for Artistic Achievement!! This honor will be formally presented at the ArtsFairfax 2024 Awards event at on October 25th. We are immensely grateful to Shu-Chen for her outstanding contributions as a performer, choreographer, teacher, and mentor!

Today's 2024 Class Highlight is Missy Zaptin! Missy will be attending George Mason University in the fall to major in dance. We cannot wait to see what the next chapter will bring for her. We are so proud of you Missy!

MSA Academy Alumni shoutouts to Sylvia Taylor and Ellen Roberts who were both recently cast in Jersey Boys at the North Shore Music Theatre. Sylvia is an onstage swing and Ellen is playing the role of Francine/Ensemble.

Sylvia is a recent grad of The Boston Conservatory at Berklee where she earned her BFA in Musical Theatre with an emphasis in tap and dance! Ellen is currently a junior musical theatre major at Boston Conservatory and is a part of the LINK program class 6.

Congratulations Ellen and Sylvia! We are so proud of you!

Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and Haitian Heritage Month are both observed during the month of May and recognize the contributions and influence of Asian, Pacific Islander, and Haitian Americans to our country. This month we celebrate by highlighting the accomplishments of a few artists and the enormous impact they have had on performing arts culture.

Sanford Placide is a visionary artist/dancer. His work captures the essence and beauty of Haitian culture, inspiring audiences worldwide as he brings the spirit of Haiti to life through movement.

MSA Academy Alumni shoutout to Brian Selcik who was recently cast in Guys and Dolls at the Drury Lane Theatre in Chicago! This is his fourth show at Drury Lane. He is cast in the Ensemble and understudying Angie the Ox. The show will run from April 10th -June 9th.
