This week's spotlight is Riley!!
This is Riley's first year of dance and first year in Terry's Showgroups. She is part of our Rising Stars group, which are our littlest and youngest dancers. Riley is super sweet and very lovable. Her favorite color is pink and she will never turn down an apple for a treat! She could be in the middle of learning a new step and get the urge to give you a hug! We love that about Riley! She is definitely a girlie girl that loves wearing her sparkly princess outfits to class and getting her sparkly costumes has been a highlight for her first year of dance! She is known to show up at the studio matching with her older sister, Kiah, in her high heel shoes that have pretty blue glitter all over them. Riley has grown up at the studio watching her big sister dance, and has learned a love of dance from her. They are best friends and big sis is her hero! Riley is very talented and picks up choreography well. She works hard and loves to impress her mom and dad. Riley loves her tap class but also enjoys jazz and gymnastics. She has improved a lot throughout this past year in all genres of dance plus gymnastics. When Riley is focused she accomplishes anything she puts her mind to! Riley is super excited about getting to compete at competitions and being able to perform with her friends on stage, in their awesome sparkly costumes! Riley's goal is to be a superhero when she grows up! We are so excited to see what is to come for Riley, as we know she is going to go super far on whatever path she chooses. The sky is the limit for you, Riley! You are already a super bright, lovable star!

Happy 4th of July from us to you!!! We hope you all have a happy and safe 4th of July. We are truly blessed to be here and reopening again! Only 2 more days until we are able to be back together in the studio!!

We are so excited to see everyone as we have missed you greatly, but we are still doing our part in helping to social distance by limiting our classes and other precautions. This is Olivia's first year of dancing and her first year in Terry's Showgroups. She is part of our Rising Stars group which is our littlest dancers. While she may be our youngest dancer, she has no problem keeping up! Olivia is very focused and retains choreography well. She's such a sweet little girl that is very independent at 3yrs old. She comes to the studio dressed and ready for class. Her favorite genre is ballet, but she also loves her gymnastics class. She works hard and definitely expects her lollipop after doing so! This year Olivia played the role of "little Beyonce'" in their group jazz routine, "Single Ladies" which she really enjoyed getting to wear a sparkly special glove like Beyonce did in her video. Although their group did not get a chance to perform on the stage this year, we know that Olivia is ready for all the lights, camera and action that performing is made up of. She loves to model for the camera and speaks her mind on Instagram, which she has quite a following there. Olivia's favorite colors are pink and purple! While Olivia looks forward to her Lollipop after class her favorite food is broccoli. Olivia wants to be a teacher when she grows up, and her hero is her daddy! We are so happy that Olivia is part of our TSD showgroups, she is unbelievably talented at such a young age! We just know she is going to go really far in her career whether it be acting, dancing or modeling. She is already a triple threat little superstar, ready to take on the world!

This week we are spotlighting Averie! This is Averie's first year in our TSD showgroups but she has been bouncing to the beat since the day she way born! She is part of our Rising Stars group, which is our youngest dancers. Averie comes from a long line of dancers that have been with TSD for over 16 years. Her favorite type of dance is Tap. Averie is definitely not shy when it comes to showing off her skills in the classroom. Her favorite memory so far has been going to cheer on our older dancers at competition and joining them on stage for awards. She really enjoys all of the personality parts in her routines. She has a lot of sass which really helps when she is portraying different characters. Averie has improved so much especially this past year in all genres of dance and also Gymnastics, which is a favorite of hers. Averie loves the color pink and her favorite foods include chicken nuggets, hot dogs, and french fries! Averie's hero is her daddy! When he is around she lights up and they are BEST FRIENDS! At 3 Averie aspires to be a unicorn when she grows up! 🦄 Averie's dance achievements are just beginning, but they already include being one of the youngest competition team members with her buddies Riley and Olivia! When Averie is ready, focused and has had her nap, there is NO STOPPING HER of what she can accomplish! We are so happy to have Averie a part of our TSD family! We know she is going to go really far in her dancing career because she is already a little bright shining star waiting to take on the world!

Averie your mommy, daddy, Landon and whole family have loved watching you grow as a dancer and as a sassy almost 4 year old this last year!!!

To all of the amazing father’s out there, especially our TSD DAD’S.... WE LOVE YOU! Happy Father’s Day! Thank you for all that you do to support your kiddos to help making their dreams come true❤️ Today we celebrate YOU! We can’t wait to see you all in person again!

This week we are spotlighting Campbell! This is Campbell's first year competing with Terry's. Campbell is our youngest member in our Shooting Stars competition group. While only 4yrs old, she definitely holds her own with the other girls. Some days she may be a bit tired prior to dance, once she gets in the classroom, she lights up like a shining star! Campbell LOVES hip hop with Mr. Alec and also loves her group jazz routine with Ms. Shalet. Campbell can hold her own in any classroom she is in. She also picks up choreography quickly and retains corrections given to her, incredibly well. Campbell really puts her whole heart into everything she loves doing, not only does that include her practicing her dance routines on a regular basis but also includes her participation in her regular weekly classes. Let's not forget the wonderful baking skills she has.... super yummy treats for her teachers. Campbell has improved so much over this past year! We are so happy Campbell is part of our TSD family and we cannot wait to see her continue on her journey as she grows stronger each and every year as she gets older! Reach for the stars Campbell... we know you will catch them, as you are already a shining star!

Over the years we have been blessed to have families and students from all walks of life join our studio! We would not be who we are today with out each of those students making an impact in our lives as teachers, dancers, and a business! The beautiful thing about dance is IT IS FOR EVERYONE! No matter your age, race, religion, poor, or rich, we can all DANCE TOGETHER!!!

This week we are spotlighting Daphne! Daphne has been dancing for 5 years. This is her second year with Terry’s and her first year of participating with our Showgroup competition team. Daphne likes the color blue and her favorite food is brussel sprout chips! Daphne has a great admiration of both of her parents and wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. Daphne’s favorite genre of dance is jazz. Her favorite dance memory is from last years annual dance recital when she received most improved from Ms. Deniek for her Combo 2 class. She is a quiet and sweet girl and we love having her as part of our studio family. She is very respectful with all her teachers and an extremely hard worker in the classroom. Daphne picks up on and retains choreography quickly and exemplifies leadership skills in the classroom. She has improved in all genres of dance this last year, and we can see her growth with each class she takes! Tap is definitely a strong suit for Daphne, and her ability to focus makes her easy to teach. Daphne has a gracefulness and natural athletic ability that shows through in her dancing. She is looking forward to being able hit the stage in her costume and compete with her friends. We know she is going to do great and can not wait to see what the future holds for her! We will be cheering her on all the way!!

This week's spotlight is Kiah! Kiah's favorite color is red. Her favorite food is Spaghetti. She has been dancing for 3 years. She has been with Terry's for 2.5 years, this is her 1st year participating in competition dance. Kiah's favorite dance memory was at last year's annual recital when she received "most improved" from her teacher Ms. Gracie. Kiah loves her tap classes. She is a quiet, and respectful student. While Kiah is only 5 years old she picks up steps quickly and can be very focused on the things she loves. Kiah leads by example and is confident in herself when she practices hard. She is a sweet and lovable child with her own unique personality. She is often found in a beautiful princess leotard or dress with her mini high heels on when entering the studio. She loves all things that sparkle, so her costumes are a favorite part of dance! Kiah is excited and really looks forward to participating in her first competition this year. Someone Kiah looks up to is her friend Campbell, her and Campbell work hard together on their routines and Campbell is always nice to her and her sisters! Kiah wants to be a professional dancer when she grows up! Kiah has grown so much over this past year and we are excited to see where the future takes her!

We hope you all are having a happy and safe Memorial Day! We are so thankful for those that have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms!
We love and miss ALL of our TSD family and look forward to when we can get together again!!!

This weeks spotlight is Mia! Mia has only been dancing for 4 years and has been a part of Terry's Showgroup for 3 of those years. Her favorite genre is contemporary. She is the youngest member in our juniors showgroup but definitely brings a lot to the table. She is incredibly talented and naturally gifted. She is very sweet, quiet and respectful to every teacher she engages with. Most teachers gravitate to Mia because she is a hard worker that is focused, engaged and excels easily in all genres. Mia has grown so much over the past three years. Her favorite dance memory was this year preforming her very first solo " Rainbow Bridge". Mia was awarded 2nd Place Overall High Score of the entire Petite division along with a special judges award "Best Technique Award" which is a very prestigious award to achieve. Already at the age of 8, Mia is a strong competitor and is a force to be reckoned with. Mia's favorite color is blue and she loves to eat salads. Mia looks up to her mom. Mia hopes to become a professional dancer when she grows up! We are so fortunate to have Mia a part of our TSD family and cannot wait to see what the future holds for her.... the sky is the limit!
