The Chamber ALX’s 2024 40 Under 40 Awards Celebration, last week was a hit!🎉 Thank you to all who attended, and congratulations to all our incredible honorees! Meet Dr. Amber Mason of Aptivate Educational and Psychological Solutions, 40 Under 40 Honoree!

Dr. Amber is a child-adolescent psychologist who founded Aptivate Educational and Psychological Solutions to continue and expand upon her helping foster children’s development and growth mentally, emotionally, academically, socially, and behaviorally. She earned her Ph.D. and M.Ed. degrees in School Psychology from Penn State, and her B.A. in Psychology and Visual Art from Duke University. Amber has lived in Alexandria since 2017. She began her career here as a school psychologist working in local schools and has since transitioned to working in her own private practice and educational services company as a clinical psychologist.

Hi everyone! My name is Dr. Amber Mason and I’m excited to announce that I’ve launched my private practice and educational services company, Aptivate Educational and Psychological Solutions. As the Director and Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I oversee all aspects of the company and I provide psychological services to children and teens, work with parents, and consult and collaborate with colleagues. I have a wonderful team of professionals who provide educational and speech-language services.

I was hesitant to make this announcement given the recent loss of my grandmother and the stress and sorrow that led up to her passing. However, my grandmother was very proud of me and she was especially excited about my company and my mission to help our youth. I’m so blessed to have brought this dream to fruition, and I know she would have wanted me to share this with you all.
