Alright guys!!! A new training scholarship has just been fully funded by a donor. Check out the details and share with your friends. We are excited to give an opportunity to a deserving community member.
Anyone may apply, and especially those who donβt think they deserve it. If your interested in funding a lifetime scholarship to help the community and perhaps highlight your business, we have one space left available at $5000. This is incredibly cheap and if we ever offer a lifetime scholarship option again, the price will go up substantially.
Applications will be accepted via Email at [email protected]

The Christian Ford Good Character Scholarship
The Christian Ford Good Character Scholarship exists to provide an opportunity to individuals who demonstrate strong character, personal responsibility, and a desire to better themselves through martial arts.
The scholarship may be awarded to a current Valhalla Martial Arts student or to an individual who does not currently train at Valhalla.
Application & Nomination
Individuals may apply for the scholarship themselves, or another person may nominate someone on their behalf.
Prior martial arts experience is not required.
Applicants and nominees will be considered based on their character, circumstances, attitude, goals, and willingness to commit themselves to training and personal improvement.
Scholarship Term
The scholarship provides six months of training at Valhalla Martial Arts.
At the conclusion of the six-month term, the scholarship may be renewed for an additional six months if the recipient continues to meet the requirements and spirit of the scholarship.
Recipient Expectations
During the scholarship period, recipients are expected to:
* Maintain an average attendance of at least three classes per week.
* Demonstrate good character both inside and outside of the gym.
* Treat coaches, teammates, opponents, and others with respect.
* Demonstrate consistent effort and a genuine desire to learn and improve.
* Practice good sportsmanship and self-control.
* Positively represent themselves, the scholarship, and Valhalla Martial Arts.
Reasonable exceptions to the attendance requirement may be made for injury, illness, family emergencies, work or school obligations, major life events, or other circumstances approved by Valhalla Martial Arts.
Renewal
At the end of each six-month term, Valhallaβs coaching staff will review the recipientβs attendance, effort, conduct, and overall adherence to the expectations of the scholarship.
Renewal is not automatic. Recipients who continue to demonstrate the character, commitment, and effort expected of the scholarship may be awarded an additional six-month term.
The Christian Ford Good Character Scholarship is intended to give deserving individuals an opportunity to grow through martial arts while recognizing something even more important than athletic ability:
Being a good person, working hard, treating others with respect, and striving to become better both on and off the mats.
