Earth Day Clean Up!
Groveton students are invited to join Girl Scout Troop 2849 for an Earth Day Clean Up on Sunday April 19th from 2:00-4:00 PM. Meet in the Lower Level parking lot at Groveton. The students will be using a path that goes to Huntley Meadows park through the Stoneybrooke and Woodstone neighborhoods and will pick up trash along the way! This will be a learning experience to help understand how litter impacts the environment and can end up the whole way to a watershed such as Huntley Meadows.

The Book Fair is happening at Groveton this Week! Students will be visiting the book fair throughout the week with their classroom teacher and can also shop from 8:30-9:00 each morning! The book fair will also have extended hours on Wednesday April 15th. It will be open from 8:00-9:00 during the PTA meeting and after school from 4:00-7:00 PM (during Parent Academy) for parents to shop with students.

¡La Feria del Libro se celebra en Groveton esta semana! Los alumnos visitarán la feria con su profesor durante toda la semana y también podrán comprar libros de 8:30 a 9:00 cada mañana. Además, el miércoles 15 de abril la feria tendrá horario extendido. Estará abierta de 8:00 a 9:00 durante la reunión de la Asociación de Padres y Maestros (PTA) y después de clases de 16:00 a 19:00 (durante la Academia para Padres) para que los padres puedan comprar con sus hijos.

Our Spring picture day has been rescheduled. If you placed orders already, you're all set! This is the same code for online ordering that we would have used last time. The school has extra forms if you need to reach out to your child's teacher for a new form.

Our 1st and 2nd grade students had a special visit from author Sue Fliess today, thanks to the Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) program. Sue shared her new book, "Greta Green Builds a Submarine," sparking a lively (and adorable) conversation about the world of STEM.

The best part? Every student went home with their very own signed, hardcover copy of the book to keep the inspiration going at home. 📚✨

Spring photo day is coming! Paper flyers will be coming home but you can also order online using the code in the photo.
