We're so excited! The first tomato is ready to be picked from our garden! At Monarch Montessori School, the children planted tomatoes, green peppers, beans and swiss chard. 🍅

For today's culinary exercise, we crafted a smoothie using pineapples, mangoes, broccoli, organic apple juice and dates. It was absolutely delicious!

Monarch Montessori School is open for the summer! The Montessori method remains the same in all activities whether during the regular school year or during our summer program. It combines physical, emotional, and social development with fun activities that involve art, music, sciences and culture. We offer short-term enrollment options for parents seeking care for the summer beginning in June and ending in August at a rate of $350 per week. Summer camp is limited to 20 students, not enrolled at Monarch Montessori School.

Get one week free on us when you register before May 20th for our infant/toddler program. Your child must be enrolled and start care before the 20th to redeem the offer. For more information, contact us at (703) 225-9524.

To celebrate The Week of the Young Child, we will have a specific theme each day. Today is Music Monday! Music plays a huge role in a child's brain development. Tomorrow is Tasty Tuesday! We'll introduce a healthy snack and facilitate a fun cooking exercise.

The Week of the Young Child takes place April 1-7. The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world's largest early childhood education association, with nearly 60,000 members and a network of 52 Affiliates.

The purpose of the Week of the Young Child is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.
