Voyager Compass has started something special! ❤️ Our 4th and 5th graders have teamed up with our kindergarten students as buddies!

Yesterday, they spent time together making friendship bracelets and getting to know each other. We love seeing our older students step up as role models and our younger students build friendships with kids they might not otherwise get to know!

We are excited to watch these friendships grow throughout the school year! ❤️

Today we’re celebrating the custodians who work behind the scenes every day to keep our schools clean, safe, and ready for students to learn, play, and grow.

Our Woodland Compass students helped us say thank you the best way they know how, with colorful handprints, a handmade sign, and of course, a few muffins!

To all of the incredible custodians across Alexandria Public Schools, thank you for the early mornings, busy days, extra messes, and countless things you take care of that often go unnoticed.

Your child's Squishmallow has plans.

Have them grab their favorite Squishmallow (or any favorite stuffy!) and bring them along for an afternoon adventure filled with silly games, wild relays, tasty snacks, and plenty of prizes.

Every child will win prizes throughout the party, and Ms. B even has a special gift prepared for each participant to take home!

For kids in grades K–5 who love their stuffies and are always ready for a little fun, this is one afternoon they won't want to miss.

Happy National Gymnastics Day!

We got to kick off the celebration a little early yesterday by joining in on the Homecoming Parade! We loved seeing so many familiar faces along the route and showing off some Cardinal pride.

And what better way to finish Homecoming than with a Cardinal win! Way to go, Cardinals!

Happy National Gymnastics Day!

We got to kick off the celebration a little early yesterday by joining in on the Homecoming Parade! We loved seeing so many familiar faces along the route and showing off some Cardinal pride.

Friday night starts with a little Cardinal spirit!

Join the Alexandria Cardinal Dance Team for the 2026 Elementary Dance Camp, where dancers in grades 2–6 will learn new skills, practice basic technique, build teamwork, and have plenty of fun along the way!

But the best part? They’ll get to take what they learned onto the field and perform at halftime of the October 2nd Cardinal Football game!

A snack and T-shirt are included, making it a fun chance to learn from the Cardinal dancers and experience what it’s like to perform under the Friday night lights.
