⭐️Mentor & Resident Spotlight⭐️

We are excited to spotlight Resident Josie Bordelon and her mentor, Ms. Aleah West, at Pine Prairie High School. Josie is gaining valuable hands-on experience working with 1st-grade students across all content areas, building her instructional skills through daily classroom experiences and mentorship.

We appreciate Ms. West and our dedicated mentor teachers who open their classrooms, share their expertise, and invest in the growth of our future educators.

We are pleased to spotlight Resident Miranda Richmond and her mentor, Mrs. Strother, at Glenmora Elementary. As a 2nd-grade resident, Miranda is gaining valuable classroom experience with a focus on ELA, developing her instructional practice through hands-on learning and mentorship.

We are excited to highlight Resident Brayla Green and her mentor, Mrs. Jennifer Terry, at Cherokee Elementary. As a 1st-grade resident, Brayla is developing her instructional practice with a focus on ELA, gaining meaningful hands-on experience alongside an experienced educator.

This partnership is especially meaningful because Mrs. Terry is an LSUA School of Education graduate. We love seeing our alumni return to the classroom to mentor future educators and continue the tradition of excellence that makes the work of our School of Education come full circle.

We are pleased to spotlight Resident Ava Andries and her mentor, Mrs. Kathryn Robinson, at Glenmora High School. Ava is gaining valuable experience teaching English I to freshmen and Business English to juniors, building her instructional skills across multiple grade levels.

This partnership is especially meaningful as Mrs. Robinson is an LSUA alumna who studied English. Seeing our alumni return to the classroom to mentor future educators is a wonderful example of the lasting impact of an LSUA education and the connections that continue long after graduation.

We are excited to spotlight Resident Charli Bailey and her mentor, Mrs. Megan Guillory, at Cherokee Elementary. Charli is gaining valuable hands-on experience in 1st grade, with a focus on Math, Science, and Social Studies.

This mentorship is especially meaningful because Mrs. Guillory is an LSUA School of Education alumna and program completer. It is always special to see the work of our School of Education come full circle as our graduates return to the classroom to mentor and prepare the next generation of educators.
