Hazel is a nursing support tool created to help LTC/SNF nurses organize skilled documentation using de-identified nursing details only.

It’s for the nurse who says, “I did the work, but I need help organizing the note.”

You still review, edit, verify, and approve everything before use. Hazel does not replace nurse judgment or facility policy.

Do not bring drama to the skilled hall.

The nurse already has medication rounds, treatments, charting, provider calls, family updates, wound care, IVs, fall risk, admissions, discharges, and shift handoff.

We do not have time for power struggles.

Resident care comes first.
Teamwork is not optional.
If you need help, say that.
If you are behind, communicate.
But do not be confrontational with the nurse while residents are waiting on care.

Too much is already on the plate.

My name is Cynthia Gatewood, LPN, and I’ve spent over 26 years in nursing, with most of those years serving in long-term care and skilled nursing.
