As my last post of the year, I am so excited to introduce to you our new PTA president and PTA secretary for this coming school year!

Shelby Shanahan will be stepping into the leadership role as president alongside Breanna Crane who will be stepping into the role as secretary. I’m so excited to see what this year brings!

I say it all the time, but we cannot run the PTA effectively without our phenomenal volunteers stepping into these roles on the leadership board!

We are still looking for someone to volunteer for the treasurer position. The working budget and all the systems are already set in place for this position. This position needs someone who is willing to come to monthly meetings and make deposits at our bank in Attica. It is also possible for two people to do this job so if you have a friend who you would like to do it with please reach out ASAP! 

Please welcome these women into their new positions and feel free to reach out with any questions or if you would like to get involved more this year serving our district in the many ways the PTA does.

What a sweet year it was to be a part of the PTA!

I just want to say thanks to my crew who helped make such a full year so much fun--so HUGE thanks to Susan Domon, Beth Overhoff and Janelle Lochren. You guys are awesome and I couldn't have done ANYTHING this year without you all!

ALSO huge thank you to all of our incredible parents and volunteers. You all made the events and successful fundraisers possible and PTA would not be possible without your support.

Lastly, thank you to our teachers and admin. We love our school and your support this year was crucial.

I'm happy to pass on the torch to your new PTA president (I'll be introducing her in the next post) and I'm excited to see what PTA has in store for next year!

Unfortunately, due to the weather, we had to cancel family fun night this year and although it was so disappointing to have to move it to September, we have some time sensitive giveaways that we just could not hold onto until September.

This morning we spun the wheel with ACSD students and here are our winners!

Hunter Ditzel -two sets of two tickets to see the Buffalo Bisons!
Ryan Russel - signed 8x10 of one of the Buffalo Bandits
Mia Polanski-Batavia Muckdogs basket with 1 season ticket, baseball cards and memorabilia (thanks to Louis Lang & Sons)

Your students can pick up their prize in the ES office unless we hear otherwise from you. :)

Due to the forecast calling for heavy rain and wind gusts up to 50 mph, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Family Fun Night scheduled for Thursday, June 18.

The safety of our students, families, volunteers, vendors, and staff is our top priority. While we were looking forward to an evening of inflatables, foam fun, food trucks, lawn games, face painting, basket raffles, and community fun, the expected weather conditions would not allow us to safely host the event.

The good news is that we are already working to reschedule Family Fun Night for September and hope to share a new date with everyone soon.

We know many families were excited for this event, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we make the safest decision for our school community.

Please watch for updates from the Alexander PTA and the district regarding the new September date.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to celebrating with you this fall!

Want to get involved with our PTA next year? Whether it’s something simple like handing out books with the birthday book cart or something more involved like the treasurer or a chairperson on an event you want to help out with, we need your help!

We are currently looking to vote in a treasurer. Next year‘s PTA events and activities cannot run as smoothly without one. Our current treasurer’s term ends June 30th so if you’ve been considering this role and feel like it’ll be a good fit, please reach out ASAP.

It’s our last big event of the year and it’s coming next week! If you don’t already have it written on your calendar, do it today so you don’t forget!

I know how crazy the end of the year can be!

If you are a family or business wanting to donate a basket 🧺for the raffles, please do so by June 16 you can drop it off at either building at the main office.

All proceeds go to the PTA, which means all proceeds go back to your students and our teachers here at Alexander!

We're currently looking for donations for our basket raffle and could use your help. We're looking for:

🎁 Gift Cards
🎁 New Items (games, toys, décor, treats, themed basket items, etc.)
🎁 Complete Basket Donations

If you, your business, workplace, or someone you know would be willing to donate, we would be incredibly grateful. Every donation helps us create a fun event for our families while supporting future PTA programs and activities for our students.
