Avilla Christian Academy is established and maintained by Zion Lutheran Church of Avilla. Ministry of Zion Lutheran Church Avilla.

The school maintains membership in the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod and is accredited by ANSAA and NLSA. Started in 1990 with preschool only and have developed into having our 3rd graduating class this year(2017).

Our Story

Lutherans have a rich history in education. As Martin Luther said, "For the sake of the Church we must have and maintain Christian schools." Zion Lutheran Church took this admonition to heart when it established a preschool in 1990 to serve the community. In 2002, the church began extending the school’s grade-levels, year by year, until it is now a complete preschool-through-twelfth-grade, fully-accredited, educational institution known as Avilla Christian Academy. The school embraces a focused mission to develop all its students spiritually, socially, and academically, so whatever future endeavors they may encounter, Avilla Christian Academy students can effectively further God’s kingdom in this world as disciples of Jesus Christ.
