Just a couple of notes:

The PTO will have a Spirit Cart tomorrow, see below for prices. This will be available for home games.

The School Store Fundraiser has been fantastic! Thanks to everyone who has participated! It has gone so well that I have had to order more of the Book Buddies and will get those to students who are waiting as soon as they come in. It is not too late to complete the task to receive a Prize Code for a Book Buddy! Thanks again for your support!

The spirit cart is back beginning this Friday 8/28! 🎉

PTO will be selling spirit items first thing in the morning for all home BR football games! 🏈

This week we will offer face painting ($.50), tattoos ($1), ribbons ($2), and buttons ($3).

All items purchased are cash only! Please discuss with your student what items they want and send the correct change for those items! PTO will not have change to give back!

Parents, we need your help! 🍎

Our students use their lunch numbers every day, and knowing them independently helps our lunch line move quickly and smoothly. Please take a few minutes each evening to practice your child’s lunch number with them until they can say it confidently on their own.

You can make it fun—turn it into a song, a cheer, or practice it like a phone number! 🎶👏

Our goal: Every Wildcat knows their lunch number! 🐾

Come out and join the Alexander City Police Department on August 15th for our Annual D.A.R.E. Public Safety Fun Day. This is a wonderful opportunity for the youth to meet our officers, hang out, and enjoy a day of fun. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.

🚗💨 Car Rider Survival Guide: The Full School Edition 💨🚗

We are now in full swing of the school year so our car line is about to hit peak chaos if we don’t work together. Here's how to keep it moving like a well-oiled minivan:

👜 Be Ready: Kids should have their shoes on, bags zipped, hugs given, and pep talks finished before you stop. If you're putting on socks in the drop-off line… we see you. 👀

⬆️ Pull ALL the way forward: Even if little Susie “always gets out at the tree.” We love the tree too, but we need those extra feet to unload more cars. Pull. It. Up.

🚗 Stay in your vehicle: You’re not parking at Target. Let’s keep it moving—our staff will help if needed.

🐢 No slow rolls or scenic goodbyes: This is a drop-and-go situation. We’ve got 600+ kids to unload.

📣 Bonus Tip: Smiling helps. Honking does not.

Let’s keep the car line quick, safe, and only mildly stressful. We've got this!

We are so excited to welcome the students back tomorrow! As a reminder, no students should be walked into the building. All student should arrive through the car rider line or by bus. If you have business in the office please wait till after 8:00 for the next week. Tomorrow is girls only for PreK and kindergarten. Our number one priority is the safety of students! We look forward to a fabulous year!
