Our beautiful daughter, Rachel Taylor, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Our family is beyond devastated and we are numb from the pain. She was the sunshine in our days and the laughter in our hearts. She was so full of life, promise, and hope. Rachel was 28 years old.

Rachel took the time to come to the school to paint faces during Carnival Week the last week of school. She was so careful with creating exactly what each child requested on their face.

Rachel worked at the school during the 2023-2024 school year after she left the Tarrant County District Attorney's office, where she was an Assistant District Attorney. She said it was the happiest place she had ever worked and hoped to return some day to take over the family business. The children loved her and she still has a crayon-drawn picture taped to her refrigerator from a little boy named Holt. Working side-by-side with Rachel is something I will treasure forever.

Services to honor Rachel’s life will be held at Aledo United Methodist Church on Wednesday, June 3rd, at 1:00pm, followed by a graveside service at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth.
